Stray
were originally formed by four school friends back in 1966!
By 1970 they released their first album simply titled
“STRAY” and were a hugely popular act on the club scene in
the UK and Europe. Stray are still one of the hardest
gigging and excellent live acts on the circuit. With a
career spanning over thirty years, 11 studio albums, 4 live
albums and a DVD recorded live at London’s Borderline club.
Their most recent studio album titled ‘Valhalla’, released
on Angel Air Records, received the best reviews of their
career and was voted album of the year by ‘Get Ready to
Rock’ magazine. While in Japan In February 2013, they
recorded 2 shows and consequently a “Live in Japan” cd was
released in March 2014 on Angel Air Records. With founder
member Del Bromham on guitar and vocals, the band will play
a selection of songs, which they have recorded over the
years.
It’s
fair to say that UK quartet Skarlett Riot don’t lack confidence.
As anyone that’s had the pleasure of witnessing this young
four-piece live will attest to.
In an
already jam-packed career Skarlett Riot have wowed audiences at
Download (earning a 4K live review from Kerrang!) , Reading,
Leeds, Bloodstock, Hard Rock Hell and a host of other festivals.
They've also shared stages across the UK with the likes of
Funeral For A Friend, Deaf Havana, The Darkness, Wednesday 13,
Edguy, Heaven’s Basement, D-A-D, Reckless Love, Periphery,
Firewind, Black Spiders, Taking Dawn, Glamour Of The Kill,
Crashdiet, Francesqa plus many more.
Formed back
in 2010, this female-fronted band were soon taking their local
scene by storm with their powerful, riff-led songs, blending
melody and grit with a muscular garage rock’n’roll backbone. Add
to that an ear for infectious hooks, and you have a band that
not only has bags of attitude but the songs to back them up!
The band’s
debut EP, the critically acclaimed "Villain", set the benchmark
high and led to glowing praise within the rock community; Big
Cheese, Kerrang, Powerplay, Rocksound were all glowing in their
praise. The band released a music video in support of the EP
which hit rotation on Scuzz and Kerrang TV which led to the band
landed a slot at the legendary Download festival where the band
were invited to open the Pepsi Max stage. A chance they grabbed
with both hands and earnt themselves another 4K review in
Kerrang, as well as a place in Scuzz TV’s ‘Top 40 Bands Who
Rocked Download’ piece.
The band
have enjoyed continued support from Kerrang TV and Scuzz for the
videos from their acclaimed debut album 'Tear Me Down'.
2013 has
seen the band release their debut album, ‘Tear Me Down’ to rave
reviews across the rock press, including 4K’s in Kerrang, 4/5 in
Big Cheese, 9/10 in Powerplay, amongst a plethora of amazing
reactions across the board.
Their first
single from the album, the anthemic ‘Faded Memory’ saw the band
earning support from Radio 1, who added the band to their
daytime playlist and led to the band being featured on national
shows from Sara Cox, Greg James, Scott Mills and Huw Stephens
amongst others. The band have also featured on Kerrang Radio ,
Team Rock as well as being added to the playlists of a host of
regional shows.
In between live shows, the band has
spent 2014 in the studio working on the follow up to ‘Tear Me
Down’, which will be released early 2015. Although with the fans
constantly asking for new material, the band released a brand
new single, the powerful ‘House Of Cards’ (a song packed with
Skarlett Riot trademark soaring vocals and edgy riffing), as the
band prepare to unleash their new CD ‘We Are The Brave’.
Formed
in 2011, SKAM are a hard rock power trio band from the middle of
England. They have a reputation for delivering no nonsense,
gutsy, classic sounding British rock music. Over the last 9
years, the band have worked tirelessly to build a solid
following in the UK, and now they are widely considered to be at
the forefront of the ‘New Wave of Classic Rock’ movement that is
currently sweeping the nation. To date, the band have
independently released 3 albums. ‘It’s Come to This’ (2011) and
‘Peacemaker’ (2014) were released to critical acclaim and the
band established themselves as a live force to be reckoned with.
The band have hit road with The Answer, Airbourne, Skindred, The
Quireboys, and GUN to name a few and are considered a formidable
live act. A drive to innovate inspired SKAM to release ‘The
Amazing Memoirs of Geoffrey Goddard’ (2017), a concept record
based on the diary entries of a time travelling RAF pilot. The
songs were described as ‘gritty anthemic rockers’ by Classic
Rock Magazine and the album received a number of 5 star reviews
from the UK Music press. SKAM don’t write songs to a formula,
they write songs as rock fans, trying to capture what they would
want to hear. Lead single ‘Take it Or Leave it’ was voted as
‘track of the week’ by Classic Rock Magazine and has since been
included on Earache Records ‘New Wave of Rock N Roll’
compilation vinyl. And now in 2020, coming up to their 10th
anniversary, SKAM are working on their 4th release.

embark on a number of dates across the UK, including festivals
such as Crazy Cowboy Festival 5, Cambridge Rock Festival and
Hard Rock Hell XIV 2020 along with the much anticipated release
of their latest EP ‘Remedy’.

YouTube. The track gained recognition and airplay from such
credible radio stations as BBC Essex Introducing, Hard Rock Hell
and MMH Radio. Radio play has been as broad as local independent
stations/podcasts and as far as Rock On The Rise and Rock Rage
Radio in the States and some additional stations in Australia.
Each time being met with glowing comments and new fans... This
set things up for the self produced debut EP "Conspiracy" that
has been available from June 2018 and has been met with an
outstanding reception from credible podcasts such as Down The
Front Media, Midland Metalheads, The Nexus Music Blog and The
Psychosin Project along with a Hard Rock Hell interview and
Donut Eating Competition with Luke "Loki" Milne! Reviews have
again been overwhelming and the band have been recognised and
rewarded with reviews in Power Play Rock & Metal Magazine, New

"Conspiracy" White Raven Down released their second MUSIC VIDEO
to their track "Salvation" which was premiered by New Noise
Magazine and again has been met with an overwhelming response
with over 18k views. This has been quite the year for the four
piece band so far with people being unable to pigeon hole their
exact place in the broad rock spectrum..... All we all know is
that it kicks ass!!

A female guitar prodigy, at fourteen Chantel was told by major
labels that she had a "great voice, but girls don't play guitar
like that!" Wisely ignoring the comments, she enrolled at the
Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the
college’s history, to achieve a 100% pass mark, with 18
distinctions. Chantel left with a First Class Honours degree in
Popular Music and a coveted prize, the college’s musician of the
year award.
In previous years, Chantel stepped out in the pro-musician world
and her stunning live performances demonstrated that she had the
ability to perform rock for the new age, played by a musician
born with an effortless virtuosity. Since then, she has built a
loyal and growing fan base who follow her every move.
If you measure an artist’s prospects by the company they keep,
then Chantel has been moving in the right direction. Early in
her career, Chantel was invited to perform with Joe Bonamassa,
on two of his UK tours.
When Chantel released her 2011 debut album, Like No Other, one
critic said, “Chantel McGregor deserves to be held up as a
messiah of blues-rock and given her own mountain. She doesn't
strum or pick her guitar but almost bends and distorts it, as if
she's channelling the ghost of Hendrix through her fingers"
The album was produced by Livingstone Brown, whose production
credits include Ed Sheeran, Robin Trower, and Shakira. The end
result was a beautifully crafted debut album that showcased
Chantel’s versatility and talent as a singer-songwriter.
Chantel’s follow up album, Like Control, again produced by
Livingstone Brown, was released in October 2015 to critical
acclaim.
All About Rock’s review of the album said:
'The album in its entirety has a common theme running through of
gothic imagery which makes it almost a concept album but each
track stands out on its own. Chantel’s double tracked vocals are
amazingly tight & the production on this album sounds loose
which is a compliment to Livingstone Brown & Chantel who have
obviously spent a lot of time on the arrangements. The girl can
obviously shred but she does so in a very understated & despite
the title of the album, a controlled way. Recommended for fans
of blues, rock, Jeff Buckley, Marillion, Big & Rich, Country &
Nick Drake. This is a hard album to categorize & pigeon hole
which in this day & age of labels & boxes is a good thing.'
Planetmosh reviewed the album with the following comment:
'The album is full of great guitar work, but Chantel McGregor
isn’t just a guitar player – she does the vocals too and they
are equally impressive. She’s got a great voice and the variety
of songs on the album allows her to demonstrate a range of
styles vocally. It really is a great album.'
The single, Take The Power, was playlisted for 5 weeks on Planet
Rock radio.
Chantel has recently been interviewed for features on Sky News,
BBC Radio Five Live and BBC Radio Four.
In December 2018, Chantel launched her own Podcast, which has
been very successful, earning a place in the iTunes Podcast
Charts.

Melodic
hard rock band Scarlet Rebels were formed from the foundations
of Welsh rock band V0iD. The band have released three official
albums under the name of V0iD – Ballads For Beauties And Beasts
(2009), Zer0 (2010) and Keep Fighting (2015). In 2018,
singer-songwriter Wayne Doyle, energetic and powerhouse drummer
Gary Doyle and harmonic, rhythmic bassist Wayne ‘Pricey’ Esmonde
we’re joined by blistering lead guitarist Chris Jones and on
second guitar/keyboards, Josh Townshend, who has rock royalty
flowing through his veins, being the son of The Who guitarist
Simon Townshend and the nephew of rock icon Pete Townshend. And
with the re-energised and re-imagined line-up came a new name –
SCARLET REBELS ‘Show Your Colours’ is the debut album by Scarlet
Rebel, showcasing an array of songwriting talent, coupled with
real sonic weight, making it a stunning record from start to
finish, never losing the focus that the song is always served
best. With the expert ears of Tim Hamill (Lemmy, Girlschool,
George Michael) controlling the desk, the recording process
started with drums and rhythm guitars before then handing over
to the rest of the band to put their stamp on the songs. The
outcome was 14 songs of soaring melodies, anthemic choruses,
blistering guitars and heavy-duty drums. Scarlet Rebels prove on
this album that songwriting, melodies, guitars, solos, bass and
drums won’t ever go out of fashion.
Gorilla
Riot are a 5-piece dirty rock n’ roll blues machine from
Manchester, England. They deliver a 3-prong guitar attack with
multi-part vocal harmonies to play raucous blues-based rock,
combining elements of grunge, stoner and country to create a
full-on high energy rock show. Created by mainman, Arjun
Bhishma, he surrounded himself with the best talent in
Manchester to form Gorilla Riot. Arjun, Liam Henry (guitars &
vocals), Charly T. (guitars & vocals), James Degnen (bass) began
songwriting and soon entered the studio to record their debut
self-titled album. This set them on their path to deliver their
blues-drenched dirty sound that evolved into the acclaimed EP,
Six Shots Down in 2017. Equally at home acoustically or
electrically they released their next studio work in May
2018. American Honey Vol 1 saw the guys extend their sound and
song-writing prowess with 3 new songs plus an exquisite
re-working of their hit song, Last Hymn. They have toured the UK
with Dan Patlansky and Aussie brawlers, Massive as well as a
maiden headline tour of Spain. This October they head out across
the country in a Planet Rock & The Gig Cartel sponsored
ROADSTARS double-header tour with Hannah Wicklund & The Stepping
Stones.
